We’re not here to tell you what to do, and Strawman certainly does NOT provide investment advice.

To be clear, we do not expect all our members to be highly experienced investors, and there’s no expectation in terms of the contribution you’re able to make. Some of our existing members are simply too time-poor, or are just at an earlier stage of their investing journey.

Keeping it tight
We’re very deliberate in keeping membership limited to a relatively small size — which is why we only periodically accept new members.
Partly that’s because we believe a tight collective of investors helps us avoid the noise and bluster that so often plague online forums. But the main reason is a practical one.
We believe the best opportunities on the ASX are typically found outside of the highly scrutinised large-cap stocks. They’re not talked about in the AFR, brokers don’t cover them and they’re too small for fund managers to touch. The trouble is that these companies often have limited liquidity, and we want to ensure there isn’t too much capital chasing the lower volumes on offer.
It’s also about maintaining a high standard; as an exclusive private investment club we’re unapologetically looking for those who can help drive exceptional outcomes.
It’s the exclusivity of a concentrated, members-only network that will ensure we preserve our edge and continue to deliver valuable and actionable investment ideas.
Membership fees
To ensure we attract only the most engaged investors, we’re offering Strawman Premium for an annual membership of $1,190 inclusive of GST*.
Of course, if you feel that Strawman Premium isn’t for you, we’ll gladly offer a full refund within the first 14 days. After the trial period, we offer pro-rata refunds at any stage of your membership — although we’re proud to say that not a single member has ever exercised this right.
It’s also worth emphasising that we DO NOT have any partnerships with financial service companies, investor relations firms or stockbrokers. That’s a slippery slope that we’d rather avoid, as it leads to poor incentives…
Because membership fees are our only source of income, we remain 100% focused on delivering the best outcomes for our members — without fear or favour.
